Introducing
Caminando Juntos - Presentation Sisters Hispanic Ministry Center
The mission of Caminando Juntos is to welcome newly-arrived Latino immigrants in the Sioux Falls area as they seek to make a home among us. We offer the following forms of assistance and programming:
English and computer classes for adult Spanish speakers (daytime and evening)
Immigration legal services (consults, citizenship, DACA, work permits, etc.)
Assistance in seeking community resources (social services, medical services, employment)
Basic needs (housing, food, clothing, furniture, and other needs)
Caminando Juntos also advocates for immigration reform and family reunification and partners with various community organizations that represent and fight for the interests of the Latino population. Each year we host a number of community outreach events, the largest of which is our annual Cinco de Mayo festival at Falls Park, which celebrates Latino cultural traditions and aims to foster greater cultural connections within the community.
