Camp POSTCARD

SD Camp POSTCARD ( Peace Officers Striving To Create And Reinforce Dreams) is a free week-long camp designed to benefit 5th and 6th graders in need of positive life experiences. Each year we work with school resource officers from communities across the Black Hills to give campers the experience of a lifetime. For many of these children, Camp POSTCARD is their first camp experience and a dream come true. This transformational program has proven to be an important opportunity to build strong relationships and valuable life skills that serve kids, their families and their communities. Camp POSTCARD builds positive bonds between youth and law enforcement. Campers are encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings, and ideas while they learn the importance of self-respect and respect for others, teamwork, self- control and dignity. Throughout the week a variety of activities help youth build self-esteem, leadership and decision-making skills at this leadership and empowerment camp.
