Introducing

Children's Inn

Children’s Inn opened in 1977 as one of the first ten domestic violence shelters in the US. It continues to provide emergency shelter to women and children who are victims of family violence, stalking, sexual assault, child abuse, or neglect. We also help to facilitate safe shelter for adult male victims of interpersonal violence. Resources offered to individuals in shelter include case management, personal care items, clothing, meals, parenting support, transportation, and child care. In addition, we provide individual crisis intervention and support services. These services include drop-in counseling, crisis hotlines, emergency room outreach, court advocacy, rural advocacy, and more. All services are available free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

As our mission, we empower victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse to overcome trauma and rebuild their lives, free from abuse.

While we serve victims of violence after abuse has occurred, we also maintain a committed focus to providing awareness and prevention education in an effort to eradicate domestic violence from our community.
