Heartland Humane Society

Heartland Humane Society works to impact positive animal welfare in southeast South Dakota. The limited admissions shelter operates a no-kill facility and provides care and programming for over 1,000 animals annually. In addition to surrender and adoption services, HHS provides pet advocacy and education alongside a food pantry and community cat program to reduce the number of unwanted litters in our communities. HHS strives to move South Dakota forward in pet care and welfare.
