Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum

The Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum and East Sioux Falls Historic Site nurtures connections, between plants, people, past and present, in an inspiring natural setting that invites discovery. We serve the greater region hosting classes from Brookings, Brandon, Iowa, and Sioux Falls schools by teaching state standard curriculum in an outside environment. The Arboretum has collections of trees, shrubs and flowers that are labeled for display which helps all visitors on plant types that grow successfully in South Dakota. The town of East Sioux Falls was located here at the Arboretum and bringing out that historical quarry town attributes serves visitors with a glimpse of life in the 1880's.
