Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home Endowment Fund

“Caring for our Heroes,” is the mission for our State Veterans Home and they are words our staff and our volunteers have lived by since 1989 when the first Soldiers Home was built. The Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home is more than just a place to live; it’s a Home where our heroes live without want or need. In 2015, the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home Endowment Fund was created to ensure that our hero’s wants and needs were taken care of. An endowment to enhance the quality of life for them. An endowment that will ensure that these heroes can and will have the opportunity to partake in hunting trips, fishing excursions, camping outings, tour South Dakota, and attend plays and concerts, and much more.

Help us honor those who have served. The goal of the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home Endowment Fund Campaign is to build a permanent endowment and use the investment income for their activities, programs, and equipment to enhance the quality of life for these heroes.
