Rapid City Nikko City Sister City Association

Established in 1994, Rapid City Nikko City Sister City Association strives to promote peace through mutual understanding, collaboration and respect. A sister city, is an officially sanctioned, long-term partnership between two municipalities in two countries. A sister city becomes sanctioned when the two highest elected or appointed officials sign an agreement. We help to build life-long friendships across borders, encourage cultural education and facilitate exchanges for the benefit of the citizens of Rapid City, South Dakota and Nikko, Tochigi, Japan. RCNCSCA is completely volunteer run organization of dedicated citizen diplomats, working to connect the people of Rapid City to the people of Nikko, Japan in a meaningful, long-term way.
