Sioux Falls Housing & Redevelopment Commission Family Self-Sufficiency

Sioux Falls Housing provides affordable, decent, safe, and non-discriminatory housing opportunities to improve the quality of life for the Sioux Falls Community and encourage economic self-sufficiency. The Family Self-Sufficiency program (FSS) works to reduce dependency of low-income families on welfare assistance by coordinating housing assistance with public and private resources to enable assisted families to achieve economic self-sufficiency. FSS provides case management to address challenges holding them back from achieving their goals, financial incentives, and stable housing. We offer free evening childcare, use of a computer lab, and a revolving fund for short term needs such as car repairs, bus passes, and school supplies.
