Souper Starz Corp

The mission of Souper Starz Corp is to promote community-based development through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration, democracy, trust and fun. At the monthly events, $10 allows attendees a bowl of soup and a vote. Then, presenters share their ideas for community improvement and involvement for which they need funding. All the attendees listen and vote for which presenter they think should receive the funding. The presenter with the most votes wins the money that was taken at the door. It’s not only about the money won, but also about the connections made and the networking opportunities.
