SD Youth Foundation

SD Youth Foundation works in partnership with other community organizations to support youth led local solutions for critical youth issues. Our goal is to work together with other organizations, so we can pool our assets for greater impact.

Our initiatives are:

Youth Choose Health
Youth Choose Teaching
Youth Choose Character

A gift to the SD Youth Foundation develops the teachers of tomorrow, grows young citizens of good character and teaches youth how to make good decisions for healthier lifestyles.

We look forward to sharing with you the progress of these programs and their successes as we reach our goal of helping you and other donors "do good for the youth in your community"!

Current Update:

Teen Teachers at the Washington Pavilion will receive 4 scholarships for their work in teaching science programs to underprivileged children.
Healthy Living program are delivered in 11 schools through a partnership with FCCLA and 3 Teen Teachers will receive scholarships.
Schools of Character Excellence is at 5 sites (Brandon, Sioux Falls Lincoln, Brookings, Dupree and Langford) and 15 Teen Teachers will receive scholarships in the Brandon, Sioux Falls Lincoln, Brookings and Langford schools with Teen Teacher scholarships in Dupree as well.(# in Dupree TBA)
