Fundraising professionals associated with South Dakota Gives are offering a free (and fun!) training for nonprofits in central South Dakota signed up to participate in South Dakota Day of Giving. Generously hosted at the United Way of the Black Hills, learn how you can make the most of #GivingTuesday.

During the two-hour interactive training you’ll learn how to prepare for the day. From social media strategies to phone calling and special events and whatever else you dream up, we’ll be sharing tips and ideas from other giving days around the country so that you can have the most creative, successful and energizing #GivingTuesday South Dakota Day of Giving ever. Planning documents and resources will also be available.

Nonprofits are encouraged to bring questions and ideas about how they plan to use South Dakota Day of Giving to support their awareness-raising and fundraising goals.

Oh, and guess what? Just for attending, your nonprofit could win money from the South Dakota Prize Pool. Seriously. Just for showing up.

The training is absolutely free thanks to sponsorship support from South Dakota Community Foundation, The Bush Foundation, and The Numad Group. Trainings will also be offered in Sioux Falls, Pierre, and Pine Ridge.
